 Picture Pals Lampshade

Tools:
  • B&W photos tacky glue

  • Shellac sealer

  • Lampshade paintbrush

  • Bias tape

  1. Find photos and zerox. Enlarging & reducing can alter the size to give you an interesting variation of photos.
  2. Take clear shellac and dip in a paper towel into it and paint on to zeroxes.
  3. After shellac has dried cut out photos.
  4. Tape photos to lampshade to get layout.
  5. Untape photos one at a time and apply white glue on back.
  6. Press onto shade and smooth with your fingers.
  7. Allow shade to dry overnight. Paint on several coats of satin varnish. Let dry between each coat.
  8. Glue a strip of decorative bias tape or raffia around the top of shade for a nice finish.

Postcard shade:

Follow instructions above. When zeroxing postcards, adjust the machine to copy several shades lighter than normal. This will help more light to come through the shade.
