 Family Photo Centerpiece

Materials: music wire, copper wire, box of copper bb’s (available at sporting goods stores), copper tape, beads, tin punch, spray 77, wire cutters, pliers, photos, backing paper, scissors, glue gun, glue sticks, small squatty jar

Photo Base:

  1. Cut 5-6 lengths of music wire and bend into a curve. At one end of wire, make small loops with pliers. At the other end, bend the wire into a small "L" shape. This will be the end that you put in the jar.
  2. Fill the glass jar 3/4" from the top with the bbs. The weight of them should hold the wire in the desired position long enough for you to glue them in place.
  3. Take glue gun and hot glue all around wire.
  4. Take wire and spread out into position that you want.
  5. Add a final layer of bbs and glue to top of jar mouth.

Photo Frames:

  1. Take photos and mount onto heavy mat board.
  2. Cut strips of copper foil tape and wrap around edges of photo.
  3. Take tin punch and punch holes in the copper tape all the way around the photo.
  4. Take copper wire and beads. Start at the top of photo and thread wire through holes, add beads, and twist and coil wire to make decorative designs all the way around photo.
  5. When you have gotten back to the top of photo, twist wire to make loop and cut off excess wire.
  6. Hang on photo centerpiece base.
