JSkyway.com
Online Professional Development for Educators in Jewish Schools
JSkyway.com is an exciting program created to help enhance the quality of Jewish
education through professional development. JSkyway offers professional and highly convenient courses
online taught by master educators. The program is subsidized in part by a grant from the AVI CHAI
Foundation. There are no time and travel constraints - all that is needed is a computer with an Internet connection.
The content is centered on the issues all teachers are concerned with, but enhanced with a
perspective that focuses on the particular issues faced by Jewish school teachers and their
students. Courses are accredited by Hebrew College to be used toward continuing education credit
(CEU's or PDP's) and by the National Board of License.

BabagaNewz
Middle school magazine and book club
BabagaNewz is a lively, colorful, monthly magazine written
for middle school students (5th, 6th, and 7th graders) in
Jewish schools. Created in partnership with the AVI CHAI Foundation,
the editorial goal of this unique publication is to encourage
young people to explore Jewish values from perspectives that
are novel, thought provoking, and exciting, and to continue
these explorations throughout their lives. BabagaNewz is written
and designed specifically to supplement and enrich the curriculum
in Modern Orthodox, Solomon Schechter, Reform, and community
day schools, as well as in the supplementary school setting.
A teachers guide accompanies each edition, providing background
texts and lesson plan ideas for the classroom teacher. In
addition to the print magazine and teachers guide, BabagaNewz
will include a book club and an interactive website.
